15-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Try the Hive IDE risk-free. If you're not completely satisfied within 15 days of your first purchase, we'll give you a full refund. No questions asked.
Note: This applies to new subscriptions only. The 14-day free trial doesn't count toward the 15-day period.
Subscription Refunds
Monthly Subscriptions
- •First month: Full refund within 15 days
- •Renewals: No refunds for subsequent months
- •Cancellation: Access continues until period ends
Annual Subscriptions
- •0-15 days: Full refund
- •16-30 days: Pro-rated refund
- •After 30 days: No refunds
Team Plans
Same refund terms as individual subscriptions. Refunds apply to the entire team license.
Credit Pack Refunds
Credit packs are generally non-refundable since they never expire. However, we'll consider refunds for:
- •Accidental duplicate purchases
- •Technical issues preventing credit use within 7 days
- •Billing errors or unauthorized charges

EU Consumer Rights (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, EU residents have additional protections:
14-Day Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason. This is separate from our 15-day money-back guarantee.

Clear Timeline: How Refund Periods Work
FOR EU RESIDENTS:
Days 0-14: Free trial period (no payment, zero risk)
Day 15: First payment charged (trial ends)
Days 15-29: BOTH EU 14-day cooling-off (days 15-28) AND 15-day money-back guarantee (days 15-29) run concurrently
→ You can cancel for "any reason" (EU right) within 14 days from payment
→ OR for "not satisfied" (our guarantee) within 15 days from payment
→ Whichever right you invoke, you get a full refund
Total Protection: 29 days from signup (14-day free trial + 15-day refund window that includes EU cooling-off)
FOR NON-EU RESIDENTS (US, Canada, Australia, etc.):
Days 0-14: Free trial period (no payment, zero risk)
Day 15: First payment charged (trial ends)
Days 15-29: 15-day money-back guarantee (not satisfied? Full refund)
Total Protection: 29 days from signup (14-day free trial + 15-day money-back)
Note: UK residents also have 14-day cancellation rights under Consumer Rights Act 2015, which are included within our 15-day money-back guarantee period.

Consumer Rights Act 2015 provides similar protections to EU law:

How Refunds Work Globally
Processing Details
- •Processor: All refunds processed through Paddle, our GDPR-compliant payment partner
- •Method: Refunded to original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.)
- •Currency: Refunded in the original currency you paid
- •Timeline: Processed within 5-10 business days from approval
- •Bank Processing: Additional 3-7 days for your bank to reflect the refund
VAT & Tax Refunds
If you paid VAT or sales tax, this will be refunded along with your subscription amount. Paddle handles all tax calculations automatically.

Cancellation vs Refund: Canceling stops future charges but keeps access until the period ends. Refunds return your money but may end access immediately.
Free Trial Period: The 14-day free trial lets you test all features before any payment. After the trial, the 15-day money-back guarantee (or EU 14-day cooling-off) begins with your first payment.
Payment Processor: All refunds are processed by Paddle, our payment partner, ensuring secure and timely returns in compliance with international regulations.
Your Rights: Nothing in this policy limits statutory rights provided by your local consumer protection laws.
